Full Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

1.1. “MetalGuys” refers to our company, its website, staff and operators.
1.2. “Customer” means any individual or business placing an order through our website, by email or by phone.
1.3. “Goods” refers to all products supplied, whether standard stock items or customised items.
1.4. “Custom Orders” refers to goods altered or manufactured specifically for the customer, including but not limited to cutting, mitring, galvanising, machining, fabrication, drilling, bending, punching or profiling.


2. Pricing and Payment

2.1. All prices are shown inclusive of VAT unless clearly stated otherwise.
2.2. Prices may change at any time. This includes changes due to supplier costs, market fluctuations, steel surcharges or errors in published pricing.
2.3. If an incorrect price is displayed, MetalGuys reserves the right to cancel or amend the order.
2.4. Payment is required in full before goods are released or production begins.
2.5. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, bank transfer and approved trade accounts.


3. Ordering Process

3.1. Orders placed via the website are considered accepted once payment has cleared.
3.2. MetalGuys reserves the right to reject any order at our discretion.
3.3. When ordering custom work, the customer must ensure all specifications provided are accurate. MetalGuys will not be liable for errors resulting from incorrect measurements or drawings from the customer.


4. Custom Orders

4.1. Custom orders include cutting to length, mitring, galvanising, machining, fabrication, drilling, punching and any work not supplied as standard stock lengths or unmodified items.
4.2. Once instructions are confirmed and production starts, orders cannot be cancelled, refunded or amended.
4.3. All custom work is subject to tolerance variations that may occur during cutting, machining, fabrication or galvanising.
4.4. Galvanising may result in changes to finish, thickness, weight and appearance of the steel. This is a natural part of the process and not considered a defect.
4.5. Fabricated or machined goods may include slight scratches, tooling marks or weld discolouration unless specifically agreed otherwise.
4.6. MetalGuys is not responsible for design suitability unless we have explicitly provided and approved drawings.


5. Delivery and Lead Times

5.1. Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.
5.2. Delays caused by courier companies, traffic, weather or unforeseen supply issues are outside our control.
5.3. The customer must ensure suitable access for delivery vehicles. Additional charges may apply if delivery fails due to lack of access or incorrect address details.
5.4. Goods must be inspected at the point of delivery. Any damage must be reported immediately or signed as damaged.


6. Inspection and Acceptance of Goods

6.1. The customer must inspect goods upon receipt.
6.2. Claims relating to quantity, quality or damage must be reported within 48 hours.
6.3. Signing for goods as unchecked limits our ability to claim against carriers and may void any compensation.


7. Returns and Refunds

7.1. Standard stock items may be returned within 14 days, provided they are unused, in original condition and are suitable for resale.
7.2. Custom orders are strictly non returnable.
7.3. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless goods are faulty.
7.4. Refunds will be issued only after goods have been inspected and approved by MetalGuys.


8. Product Description and Accuracy

8.1. All measurements, weights and descriptions are approximate.
8.2. Actual dimensions may vary due to steel mill tolerances or galvanising processes.
8.3. Images shown on the website are for illustration and may not reflect exact finishes or colours.


9. Liability

9.1. MetalGuys accepts no liability for any consequential loss, installation error or misuse of products.
9.2. We are not responsible for structural calculations or suitability for load bearing applications unless specifically discussed and signed off.
9.3. The customer is responsible for ensuring compliance with building regulations, engineering guidance and safety legislation.


10. Warranty

10.1. Standard goods are warranted against manufacturing defects but not against corrosion, wear or damage caused by incorrect installation.
10.2. Galvanised products may show natural variations and surface reactions that are not considered faults.
10.3. Custom fabricated items carry no warranty beyond workmanship quality at dispatch.


11. Privacy and Data Protection

11.1. We comply with UK GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
11.2. Customer details are only shared with delivery partners or payment processors where required.
11.3. We do not sell or share data for marketing purposes.


12. Intellectual Property

12.1. All content on the MetalGuys website, including text, images and graphics, is the property of MetalGuys and may not be reproduced without permission.


13. Governing Law

13.1. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13.2. Any disputes shall be handled in the courts of England and Wales.


14. Acceptance of Terms

14.1. By using our website or placing an order, you confirm that you agree to these terms and conditions in full.
